Despite the competition of the Tim Hortons Brier in Winnipeg and the Men's World Championship in Grand Forks, the Brandon Safeway Championship committee has announced a profit of $24,400 according to a recent Brandon Sun article by Keith Borkowsky.

The usual pattern is for profits from a provincial event in Brandon to be shared equally among the Brandon, Wheat City and Riverview Curling Clubs and ther Brandon Men's Bonspiel Committee.


According to the Brandon Sun article, event revenues were $164,400 while expenses were $139,000, about $15,000 over budget.
