The 2008 Canadian Champion team of Kaitlyn Lawes was saluted by the Manitoba Curling community May 4 at the Manitoba Curling Hall of Fame banquet.

The team, which went on to win the World Bronze Medal, was presented with several honours, including:
** Manitoba Sport Awards of Merit and Medals
** Manitoba Curling Association Recognition Awards
** Canadian Curling Association Championship banner for presentation to the Pembina Curling Club.
